AP Studio Art

 

 

    I've loved art my entire life, which isn't surprising coming from two photographer parents.  Whether it's painting, sculpting, drawing, photography, film, or cooking, I find joy in creation.  I was that kid who drew on the walls, and (to my parents' dismay) I never grew out of it!  I often got in trouble for excessive doodling, drawing on desks, or carving sculptures out of crayons.  I've been drawing since the day I could pick up a pencil, and my parents noticed very early on, so I've been taking private art classes since the second grade.  Mr. Hayes taught me the fundamentals of painting and composition, and helped develop my creativity up until high school, where I took classes with Ms. Morrison, and currently Ms. Blake.    

    Every aspect of art fascinates me, but I specialize in painting (acrylic and watercolor), drawing, and illustration.  I love the surrealism of Salvador Dali, whose work inspires me to create a story through my art.      I would love to persue art as a career in the future.  Storytelling through art is a powerful thing, so I would love to try my hand in Illustration, animation, or even journalistic photography.
